Are Graphic Tees a bit 5 years ago?

I see there are some Graphic Tees out and about and while I give them a glance I can't help thinking "Umm, nice jammies". This is probably because that's what most of mine became after 2008. Whenever I see one now I think back to my teenage years when I thought I was uber cool and making a statement LITERALLY with my clothes. In the press there's many a "Live Fast Die Young" "Music Not War" neon print shirt reeking of 2005. I actually saved up for a couple of weeks to buy one that wasn't from Penneys or Dunnes that's how much I got into this fad. I think if there's one thing that should be left in the noughties and not brought out again until our kids are teens and giving us lip it's the graphic tee. The only way I'm gonna be a 21 year old "Bel Air Babe" is either while getting ready for bed or my Dad suddenly becomes a Californian billionaire.

Brights and Pastels this season (do they work for you?)

I've realised as I've gotten older that the way some people have an inner clock that makes them wake up the same time every day I've an inner colour cycle. Every year like clockwork, come February, the warm ruby tones and plums of Winter get thrown back into the press and out come the brights! This year luckily for me brights are in in a big way. Every store has multicoloured jeans, bold statement coats and block coloured dresses. My current tone love at the moment is Pastel. I've got lemon, baby pink and lilac shades all over my wardrobe, underwear included! I think the most important thing when wearing pastel clothes though is not to wear pastel accessories as you'll wash yourself out. Throw on some bright red shades (maybe even matched with a bright red lip) to add a dash of POP! to an other wise delicate ensemble. Hair accessories, shoes, jewellery, bags, they all make a huge difference to an outfit. A bold dress like the yellow number shown can be your best friend in every situation with a change of accessories. What I like to do with a simple bright dress is throw some leggins or skinny jeans on with it, a long necklace, a simple jacket or coat, some shades and a good size bag for carrying around all the essentials, if it's cold I also add a beret too for walking around shopping or meeting up with friends during the day, come night time throw on some daring make up, pretty hair accessories, statement necklace and heels and your talking. I'm on cloud nine with the shades that are out at the moment, the Neon phase was not my friend. Neon accessories love me but neon clothes don't. My pale complexion and blaring yellow = disaster! The same goes for these tones. While softer shades and primary colours (especially red) look fantastic on extremely pale and extremely dark skin there is still the olive/tanned complexions that don't naturally mix well with these tones but that doesn't mean they don't work at all. My suggestion to those with medium to tanned complexions is to try on different colours and see what works. While pale green might make you look ill lemon could be your best friend. Another good way of checking is by looking at celebs and models with similar colouring to  yourself and see what they're wearing. A lot of these people (especially those on run ways) will have stylists who will make sure they're wearing the right colours. From experience warmer colours like pink, orange and yellow tend to work the best with medium/tanned skin so try shades of those first, avoid mint and lilac as they won't look so good. If all else fails Back To Basics is always a life (and style rep) saver. Dress head to toe in figure flattering black clothes and throw on some uber bright accessories. A bright waist cinching belt will give you an hour glass figure, bold shades will give you bone structure and amazing shoes will give you, well everything. If you've got amazing shoes ain't nobody gonna be looking at anything else!
